Current LWVGA ActivitiesLWVGA Education Fund:During 2010, LWVGA will: sponsor student interns at the state Capitol, publish "Under the Gold Dome", educate citizens and students about the importance of judicial independence and conduct our successful BE COUNTED program to educate, engage and empower Georgia voters during the 2010 elections.
LWVGA:During 2010, LWVGA will lobby at the Capitol in support of: judicial election reform, a full funded statewide water plan, equitable tax reform that does not jeopardize public school funding, and strengthening Georgia's ethics laws. LWVGA will oppose efforts to limit access to the polls, reduce government accountability to taxpayers, reconfigure voting districts, divert much-needed resources from our public schools, and limit public access to government records.
